Hi Everyone,
Exciting news - the pilot run is now in the final stages and we are ready to commence full production within the next week! This puts us ahead of our original schedule which is fantastic news. We are extremely pleased with the quality our suppliers have been able to achieve throughout the pilot run.
All of the accessories (the skillet lids, slotted turner, chain mail scrubber, leather handle cover, and the trivet) are already in full production.
BackerKit Update - Last Chance to Add Accessories
All orders will be locked on Backerkit and cards will be charged within the next 2 weeks, so this is your last chance to add accessories to your order. If you would like to update your BackerKit survey to purchase any additional accessories to your order you can do so by going to https://prepd-chef-skillet-igg.backerkit.com/ and entering your email address that is connected to your Kickstarter account.
After orders are locked you will still be able to update your shipping address (via the link above) until production is nearing completion. We will notify you in another update when this time is approaching.

If you haven’t already completed your survey, you should have received an invite from us via email, but if not you can go to https://prepd-chef-skillet-igg.backerkit.com/ and request your survey under “Lost your survey?” by entering the email address associated with your Kickstarter account.

Production Update
The final tooling is now all completed and we have already begun the pilot run ahead of schedule. In the pilot run, we will trial all phases of production, from casting, to polishing, to seasoning so that we can streamline each process to ensure that production runs smoothly once it begins. We will also validate that the supply chain can consistently meet our strict quality requirements.
Provided the pilot run is completed within the expected timeframe we should be able to commence full production by early July, also ahead of our original schedule.

The final tooling is almost complete and we will be ready to begin our pilot run in May, ahead of schedule! This is fantastic news because we can’t wait to get the Prepd Chef Skillets into your hands!
BackerKit Survey invites are on the way!
Soon you will receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey where we will be asking you to confirm your shipping address and finalize your order. Here you will also have the opportunity to select any add-ons you might want.
It’s important to respond to your survey quickly since we need this information to fulfill your rewards, which we are aiming to do as quickly as possible. Certain add-on items will only be available for a limited time and in limited quantities as well.
If you do not complete the BackerKit survey we will not be able to ship your rewards. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account, when you receive the email simply click the survey link to provide your shipping information and purchase add-on items (if you like).
Everyone should receive their Backerkit invitation email within the next 24 hours - we are sending them out in batches starting soon.

Which Add-Ons are available in BackerKit?
Cast-Iron Lids
This was the #1 most popular requested accessory! Available in both 8-inch and 10-inch sizes, the Prepd Cast-Iron Lids help you to maximize your skillet’s capabilities. The lids help you to seal in the flavor when you need to so you can braise, steam and melt. These cast iron lids come with grooves on the underside that are specially designed to collect and redirect condensation back onto the food while you are cooking - either on the stovetop or in the oven.
Slotted Turner
Bon Appetit once described the slotted turner as "the unicorn of kitchen utensils" and they were absolutely right!
The Slotted Turner is lightweight, and it has a sharp, precision-engineered front edge that makes it incredibly easy to slide under and flip all kinds of foods - even delicate foods, such as eggs, fish, and crepes, and it is still strong enough to lift heavier foods (like a big steak) as well. It will become your go-to spatula for any meal.
Leather Handle Cover
Made from high-grade leather, the Handle Cover protects you when the pan gets hot. The cover is perfectly contoured to fit the Prepd Skillet handle while still allowing you to easily slide the cover on and off. It not only looks cool, but it also keeps you cool too.
They fit both the 8 and 10-inch Chef Skillets, as well as the original Prepd Skillets.
The Original Prepd Skillets
Due to popular demand, we have also made the original Prepd Skillets available in BackerKit to order in all countries! The original Prepd Skillets are also polished smooth and pre-seasoned. These are heavier than the Chef Skillet, but they are also larger and they come in a 12-inch size, which is perfect for entertaining and for larger meals. If you order these they will ship together with your Prepd Chef Skillets as well.
If you'd like to order additional Prepd Chef Skillets you can do this in BackerKit as well. Extra 8-inch skillets are particularly useful if you are making multiple individual meals to serve at the table, just like they do in restaurants.

Yes, after you respond to your survey, you can always go back and change your address at any time before we close the surveys.

Can I change my address later?
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Indiegogo account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. When do I confirm my shipping information?
Within the next 3-4 weeks, we will begin sending invites to your BackerKit survey where you will be asked to provide your shipping address. At this time you will also be able to add accessories to your order, such as the Cast Iron Lids, Leather Handle Cover, Slotted Turner, Chain Mail, and Trivet.
We will share more details before the invites are sent out.
